To provide school based Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy services to create supportive learning environments for all students in which they can succeed both at home and at school. Identify the components that may be limiting a student's ability to access the curriculum, school routines, participate socially, and play.
Occupational, Physical and Speech Therapy services may include but are not limited to:
Thera Fit has been providing school based therapy services to school systems in the state of Missouri since 2004. Our team has 107 combined years of experience, helping hundreds of kids each school year. Our staff collaborates with educators, parents, guardians, and other school professionals to problem solve and support each student individually.
OT works to improve the areas of fine motor, visual motor, visual perception, self-care, eye-hand coordination, and sensory processing to improve function for participation with daily activities. Occupational therapists assist children in developing their strength, coordination, sensory processing, visual processing, and physical/motor skills to function at their highest level. Environmental adaptations and/or compensatory strategies are implemented as needed to improve a child's level of independence.

Occupational Therapy in a school setting may include:
Physical therapy works to improve the areas of gross motor, strength, endurance, range of motion, mobility, and balance for safety, transfers, locomotion, and participation in play. When necessary, physical therapists make recommendations for types of braces, walkers, seating and positioning, wheel chairs, and other mobility devices to assist the child to function at their highest level of safety and independence.

Physical Therapy in a school setting may include:
Speech Therapy works to improve communication for literacy and learning for success in the classroom. Speech Therapists assist children with language disabilities, voice impairments, stuttering, articulation, and swallowing. They address language disabilities, voice impairments, stuttering , articulation and swallowing impairments. Speech therapists also work with children that are hearing impaired or have cleft palates to produce words for clearer communication. Through speech therapy, children can understand more material in class.

Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm
Saturday - Sunday: Closed
